Originally from northeast Georgia, Ash is an experienced outdoor guide, digital artist, and advocate for inclusivity in the outdoor industry. With over a decade of guiding experience, Ash has commercially guided on some of the most iconic rivers in the United States, including the Chattooga, Ocoee, Nantahala, Pigeon, Gates of Lodore, Yampa, Green River, Colorado River, Arkansas, New, and Gauley. Holding an ACA Level 4 certification, along with Swiftwater Rescue and Wilderness First Responder certifications, Ash brings expertise, safety, and passion to every outdoor adventure.

Beyond the rivers, Ash has spent 10 years perfec their skills as a digital artist and 6 years as a content creator, blending creative expression with advocacy for inclusivity in the outdoors. They’ve worked with well-known brands such as Astral, LL Bean, Merrell, and Granite Gear to improve body diversity in the outdoor industry. Ash has been featured in prestigious publications, including Blue Ridge Magazine’s "30 Under 30 Outdoor Influencers," The Trek, and Outside Magazine’s list of "Plus-Size Outdoors People You Should Know." Their impactful work was also highlighted in the book Women and Water and the award-winning short film All Bodies, which earned Paddle Film Festival’s People’s Choice Award in 2022.

Currently, Ash is part of the groundbreaking project All Humans Outside, continuing to push boundaries and amplify voices in the outdoor community. They regularly teach beginner outdoor courses and lead body-positive and body-neutral workshops, inspiring individuals to connect with nature in their own way.

In their free time, Ash enjoys hiking, reading, writing, painting, cooking, weightlifting, and creating digital art. Their passion for the outdoors and creativity fuels everything they do, making them a dynamic and inspiring force in the outdoor and digital spaces.
